About Jubin P. Joseph, Phd, MD
Jubin P. Joseph, MD, PhD, is an interventional cardiologist with particular expertise in minimally invasive catheter-based therapies for the treatment of heart disease, including heart valve issues, holes in the heart and heart artery disease. Over recent years, he has performed a large number of these procedures, having completed interventional cardiology fellowships in three of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

Dr. Joseph’s research interests include understanding the underlying basic causes of heart failure, along with improving patient outcomes by developing minimally invasive techniques for heart valve repair and replacement, such as transcatheter aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement. He has been co-investigator in many national and international studies, evaluating innovative treatment devices for heart conditions, and he is a frequent speaker at major cardiology conferences.

Dr. Joseph was awarded a fellowship from the British Heart Foundation for his doctoral research into heart failure, during which he identified potential mechanisms for cardiac dysfunction. His other honors include the Preiskel Prize in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

He appreciates the collaboration of world-leading physicians at Keck Medicine of USC, where he works closely with other cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. This collaboration enables patients to benefit from the team’s collective experience and expertise.
“One of my most important jobs as a physician is to guide my patients — to help them understand their disease and make a plan to combat it together.

“My priority is to discover what’s important to my patients — be it the ability to do their hobbies without symptoms or spend more time with their loved ones. I determine the best possible way to treat their heart disease to make those dreams possible.”
