Kyle Bolo, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at the USC Roski Eye Institute, part of Keck Medicine of USC. He diagnoses and treats patients for a variety of eye diseases and has extensive expertise treating glaucoma and performing cataract surgery.
Dr. Bolo’s patients can expect compassionate, high-quality care that incorporates the latest science with tried-and-true solutions. He prioritizes building genuine relationships with each patient so he can better understand their needs and goals, and then crafts personalized treatment plans to align with those goals.
He is especially passionate about improving care for glaucoma, which is the second most common cause of vision loss in the United States. Dr. Bolo’s research centers on expanding access to eye care, incorporating tools like telemedicine, and enhancing diagnostic capabilities with novel imaging techniques and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Bolo is also helping to educate the next generation of physicians. He is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Outside of work, Dr. Bolo enjoys biking, skiing and hiking with his wife. He also likes cooking with ingredients grown in his own backyard. He is fluent in Spanish.
