Keck Medicine has achieved what many would view as impossible for such a young medical enterprise. Keck Hospital achieved Magnet status for the first time in 2018. Keck Medical Center reached a ranking in the Top 20 hospitals in the nation by US News and World Report in 2019, after only a decade of operation. We quadrupled our employee base, grew our outpatient visits by a factor of 10 to more than 575,000, and expanded in markets across Southern California and Las Vegas. With a wide variety of patient care settings and more than 100 clinics across the Southern California area, there are limitless opportunities to partner with compassionate and courageous healthcare professionals while progressing throughout your career.

Employee resource group (ERG) is focused on supporting the Armenian experience for clinicians, staff and the larger community, as well as to foster an alliance among colleagues interested in Armenian issues.

Black Leaders and Colleagues at Keck Medicine

Employee resource group (ERG) encourages the Black and African American community to come together to represent and support each other.

COMPASS – Community of Mentors for Professional Advancement, Support & Success

Employee resource group (ERG) supports Keck Medicine employees in the early or transitional stages of their careers.

Employee Resource Group to amplifies the AAPI colleagues, creates a space where AAPI diversity is shared, highlights, celebrates and establishes meaningful relationships and partnerships in order to better serve employees, patients and the community.

La Voz – Hispanic and Latinx Employee Resource Group

The group promotes Latinx and Hispanic contributions to Keck Medicine where they share and celebrate all forms of the culture, promote mentorship, address healthcare disparities and promote good health for internal and surrounding communities.

The group focuses on the professional and leadership development of women across the entire organization.

LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Badge 2024

Our Office of Diversity and Inclusion is integral in guiding the Keck Medicine of USC community towards dismantling systemic bias, racism and inequalities so everyone belongs and thrives. In 2024, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion celebrated new milestones such as being honored with the Healthcare Equality Index Leader Designation for the entire health system and Community Benefit in Action award. In addition, we continue to support our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which celebrate the identities and cultures within our Keck Medicine and even larger Los Angeles community, and whose program goals are directly aligned with Keck Medicine of USC’s 7 strategic pillars.

At Keck Medicine of USC, we understand that being competitive in the market is imperative to maintaining our ability to operate at our best for each other and our patients. Our pay is market competitive, transparent, and complete with variety of incentive and special pay programs, including annual incentive programs for managers and directors, shift differential, overtime pay, and more. When extending an offer of employment, we consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities, relevant work experience, education/training, as well as other legal, external market, and organizational considerations. Each of these factors helps us ensure equity based on today’s market conditions.

Additionally, we offer retirement plans that help our employees prepare for their future needs. Employees of Keck Hospital of USC , Norris Cancer Center, most USC Care facilities are eligible for the USC Retirement program which offers up to 10% matching for a maximum of 15% total annual contribution. Employees at USC Verdugo Hills and Las Vegas Healthcare Center are eligible for the Keck Medicine of USC 401(k) Retirement Plan which matches 100% of before-tax or Roth contributions up to a maximum of 4% of eligible earnings on a paycheck by paycheck basis.

Care for the Caregiver logo
