We are here to help patients throughout their gender journey. Our priority is providing patient-centered care that respects the unique journey of each trans/gender-diverse patient. Our staff are trained experts in gender-affirming care. Care plans start with a patient navigator, who serves as a patient’s first and ongoing point of contact, helping to connect the patient with the program’s physicians, services and resources. Our experts, including both medical and surgical doctors, devote time to understanding each patient’s highly personal and individualized goals.

Our surgeons are highly experienced in gender-affirming surgery, also referred to by some patients as transgender surgery. Our specialties include chest procedures (top surgery) and genital procedures (bottom surgery), as well as hysterectomies. We also specialize in facial surgery, such as facial feminization and masculinization procedures.
Our multidisciplinary care team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, speech therapists, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Together, our experts provide holistic, best-in-class gender-affirming care. This includes experts in family medicine, plastic surgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, otolaryngology, laryngology and internal medicine.
Services for gender-affirming care can be challenging to find. As part of Keck Medicine of USC, the USC Gender-Affirming Care Program is part of an academic center, giving patients access to holistic, gender-affirming care and general health care, all within the same health care system.
