About George Yaghmour, MD
George Yaghmour, MD, specializes in blood diseases and disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and bone marrow disorders, at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

Dr. Yaghmour brings expertise in stem cell transplants, advanced cellular therapy, immunotherapies and treatment for bone marrow failure.

His research interests include rare blood disorders and diseases, molecular and epigenetic pathways, drug development, adolescent and young adult leukemia and new strategies of immunotherapy and post-immunotherapy treatments.

Since he joined Keck Medicine in 2016, the team has achieved the top survival rate among adult allogeneic transplant programs in the nation several years running. Dr. Yaghmour learned medicine in three languages: Arabic, French and English. He has been named to the Southern California Rising Stars list by Super Doctors.

In his free time, he serves as a life coach, mentor and motivational speaker. He also enjoys painting, playing music, working out and traveling.
“My focus is always on providing my patients with treatments that are less harmful and less toxic but still help achieve better outcomes. Another important goal for me is helping my patients learn to cope with the stress of their illness.

“I want to make stem cell transplants accessible to as many patients as possible, from all different races and ethnicities. Every person on this earth is a potential cure for someone else.”
