About Ivan C. Ho, MD

Dr. Ho grew up in Hong Kong, and completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard College, where he received his A.B. summa cum laude in Chemistry. After receiving his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Ho completed internship, residency, cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC, and Director of Clinical Electrophysiology at Keck Medicine of USC. He also serves as the Medical Director of Complex Arrhythmia Ablation at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, and was previously an Assistant Director of Atrial Fibrillation Research at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute.

Dr. Ho joined Keck Medicine of USC in 2019, and was previously at Los Angeles Cardiology Associates from 2008 to 2019 as a partner and a cardiac electrophysiologist. His subspecialty expertise includes catheter ablation for complex cardiac arrhythmias using the latest mapping and imaging technology, device implantation and evaluation of patients with arrhythmias. He is particularly interested in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Academically, he has been an Associate Director of the clinical electrophysiology fellowship program at Good Samaritan Hospital, and has trained more than 20 EP fellows over the last 10 years. Dr. Ho is currently an investigator in multiple studies on new catheter and device technologies in the field, including novel devices for left atrial appendage occlusion, new ablation strategy for atrial fibrillation, and next generation irrigation catheter for complex arrhythmia ablation.
