“I believe that listening is the first step to building a shared plan to treat your cancer. The diagnosis of cancer inherently carries feelings of hopelessness and anxiety. I personally believe that there is always hope, whether that be hope for a cure or hope for a better quality of life. I routinely collaborate with my colleagues, nurses, social workers, psychologists and you to restore hope. Cancer itself is anxiety provoking, stemming from preconceived notions of cancer and an uncertain future. I tackle anxiety by laying out a plan of attack, often making a personalized sketch, so you always know the next step.”
