About Caroline T. Nguyen, MD

Caroline T. Nguyen, MD is a board-certified endocrinologist and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine (Clinician Educator) in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid conditions in pregnancy including preconception counseling, optimization of thyroid conditions prior to assisted reproductive fertility, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, subclinical thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, Hashimoto’s, and postpartum thyroiditis.

She has published articles in Thyroid, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology.  She teaches medical students, residents, and fellows in both the Department of Medicine and OB.

She has been an invited speaker at local and national conferences, is the founder and co-director of the USC Jorge H. Mestman Endocrine in Pregnancy and Women’s Health Symposium, the co-director of the USC Peter A. Singer Thyroid Symposium, and a current task force member for the next American Thyroid Association Thyroid and Pregnancy Guidelines.

She has been recognized as a Top Doctor in Los Angeles in 2020, 2021,2022, and 2023 by her peers. 

Dr. Nguyen offers telemedicine consultations to patients in California.
