About Greg R. Angstreich, MD
Greg R. Angstreich, MD, found his love for science at an early age, whether it was studying biology, physics, astronomy or chemistry. That passion carried him through his education to his decision to become a physician specializing in oncology.

Dr. Angstreich is triple board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, with a particular interest in genitourinary cancers. He joined Keck Medicine of USC in 2014, where he also serves as Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

As a member of the team at Keck Medicine of USC – Newport Beach, Dr. Angstreich is committed to providing his patients with expert, academic-level care and the best possible treatment options that reflect today’s or even tomorrow’s medical knowledge.

He is dedicated to education and previously taught at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, and Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO, where he received a teaching award.

Away from his practice, Dr. Angstreich is passionate about ocean swimming. He also enjoys tennis, classical music, experiencing other cultures through travel and spending time with his two daughters.
“My first priority is putting the patient's interests first, getting to know the patient and his or her family, background, interests and concerns. I want to know all those things before talking about or making any plans for treatment. The human connection is critical.

“Developing that relationship enhances the ability to make good decisions based upon honesty and understanding. Ultimately, in a phrase, my approach to finding the best treatment plan is to leave no stone unturned.”

I love, love, love Dr Angstreich. He's kind, patient, collaborative, professional, listens, we brainstorm as a team and he has a good sense of humor. Everyone I know who has him as a doctor says the same thing.

Usually excellent care by Dr Angstreich, but this visit was a failure. I still do not know if I need a phlebotomy ASAP OR SEE HIM AGAIN IN 3 Months for another blood drawn when he said he prefers my iron count to be 100 or lower and it is NOW 151 H.
