As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Helen M. Wu, MD, provides routine eye care for patients in Glendale. She specializes in treating glaucoma, which involves managing patients’ symptoms and slowing the disease progress, with the ultimate goal of helping patients maintain their vision.
Dr. Wu loves the opportunity to get to know her patients and build lasting relationships with them. Having worked and trained in Chicago, New York, Cleveland and Houston before coming to Los Angeles, she appreciates hearing her patients’ life stories and learning what they like about living in Southern California.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Wu is a part-time clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, sewing, crafting, upcycling and watching home renovation shows.
I strive to educate my patients about the disease process and partner with them to create a manageable treatment plan best suited for their individual needs and values.
