About Raymond W. Kung, MD
Raymond Kung, MD, is a comprehensive otolaryngologist with clinical specialties in hearing and balance disorders, salivary and thyroid gland pathology, sinus disease, sleep disorders, and head and neck masses. His practice includes both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Kung has a particular interest in the new field of minimally invasive salivary gland surgery and sialendoscopy for managing salivary disease without traditional open approaches. He is trained in the use of point-of-care diagnostic ultrasound as well as ultrasound-guided biopsies of head and neck lesions. His clinical areas of focus also include chronic ear disease and cochlear implantation, and is certified in robotic-assisted cochlear implantation.
Dr. Kung received his medical degree from University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He also received Advanced Training in Otologic Surgery at University of Iowa.
